Welcome to Entertainment Sound Productions. The brainchild of son of the soil Earl Lyttleton Francis Valmont. Yes, it has been a while. This dream, this vision, from so long ago, even early adulthood, is now becoming reality. The inspiration – as old as the dream…some of our very own musical icons today, Luther Francois, Emerson Nurse, along with outside influences such as Jimmy Hendrix, Bob Marley, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Earth Wind and Fire to Curtis Mayfield. 

Sent away to school from an early age, Lyttleton was able to bring home records which he would hastily share with those musical geniuses he grew up knowing. He would then be fascinated watching and listening to them perform some of those very songs together at the Francois home among other venues on the island, as perfectly as on the records. He was determined to record them and was able to document some of their early work. Unfortunately, these recordings eventually got lost in all the travelling back and forth. Yet his passion for the music remains and his dream stays close to his heart. So here we are, forty years later.

One night while visiting Jambe Du Bois Restaurant at Pigeon  ‘where the old cats still played jazz’ Lyttleton is blown away by a performance from Empress Illa, singer and jazz vocalist at the time (also daughter/niece of the very musicians he grew up with). He had never seen her before but was determined to make the link that would become the catalyst for the reality now being experienced today. Yes. Three years later we are here in this beautiful space, a rejuvenated warehouse building, now furnished with an office, music studio, and lounge/waiting area …and this is only phase one.

THE JOURNEY

So Lyttleton is introduced to singer/songwriter Empress Illa (Ella Anya Nurse) and the quest begins to find a  music studio where we would be able to record ‘live’. This proved to be quite a task, although there were many music studios on island, we heard of only two where we could record live. Lyttleton quickly linked up with one such studio and we soon began our first project recording six songs with Empress Illa & The Mystics, a group of musicians who mystically came together through working with the Empress on previous separate occasions.
